  • Since everyone’s opining on the current Apple lineup, I’ll say this: the 13-inch MacBook Air is basically the perfect laptop. I wouldn’t change a thing except go back to the original MagSafe connector and improve performance and battery life as possible while maintaining weight.

  • Using earbuds with a mic for talking on the phone is great. Not sure why, but in 8+ years of owning iPhones I never tried it before yesterday; always held my phone to my ear. 😆 If you're still living in the dark ages, come join us!

  • Chrome extension for hiding hot network questions on Stack Overflow 🔗

  • Posting to my Jekyll site from my phone using the Micro.blog iOS app. Now I’m ready to rep the indie web at RailsConf!

  • Experimented with Safari for a few weeks; reluctantly moving back to Chrome. Suddenly noticing how busy it is visually. Between my bookmarks toolbar, tabs, and extensions, I have 40 multicolored icons visible in one window. Can I make them go away? Or be grayscale?

  • Fabulous accessible and thorough overview of the JAM stack and how static sites can be a lot more dynamic than you might think from Shop Talk.

  • Yes! Finally got my blog set up the way I want it. I’m now publishing both notes and articles on the same Jekyll site and syndicating everything to micro.blog and Twitter.

  • I want there to be a browser plugin that detects infinite scrolling so it can show me an alert like: “You’ve been scrolling down the same page for 5 minutes. Do you want to continue?”

  • POSSE is a powerful concept I hope more people adopt. One application I haven’t seen much discussion on yet is reviews. Publish reviews on your own site and you don’t have to worry about shady companies deleting them. Now how do we syndicate? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Working on a project right now where “sprinkles of JavaScript” is absolutely the right approach. In fact, it is for most of my work. I’m using jQuery, but really intrigued by Stimulus. Loved the Changelog’s interview with DHH about it for a look into the motivations and process behind creating it.
